Is Youth Camp for Boys only? Is the Women's team running a separate youth camp?

No, our youth camp is run with both our Men's and Women's programs together. Players and coaches from each team will be in attendance at youth camp. At camp, we will typically divide into different groups of boys and girls (except with our youngest campers). Both boys and girls may register either through our website here, or through the women's soccer camp page.

What is your Refund Policy?

Due to the limited numbers we have at camp, any refund request must be submitted in writing to ddowling@omavs.com. A cancellation 30 days prior to camp will get a full refund minus the 6% processing fee. After 30 days until 2 weeks prior to the start of camp a 50% refund will be issued. 14 days prior to camp a refund will ONLY come in the form of a camp credit for a future camp date.

Are parents allowed to attend?

Youth Day Camp- Parents are more than welcome to either drop their kids off and depart after check-in, or stay throughout each day. We will have a very high staff-camper ratio to ensure each camper has plenty of attention and has a great experience. For parents wishing to observe camp, we will have plenty of space to watch both in the stands, along with a few shaded areas.

ID Camp- Parents are encouraged to allow the athletes to experience the camp on their own. If you do want to stay and watch we will direct you to a specific area.

Who will be doing the training at the camp?

ID Camp- All of the coaches at our camps are the head or assistant coaches of the school they represent.

Youth Camp- Sessions will be run by coaches, and student-athletes of the Omaha Men's and Women's soccer teams.

Do the athletes need to play for premier teams to attend ID Camp?

No. While the camp does draw a large number of high quality players, we encourage any athletes who have an interest in playing at the collegiate level to attend and gather as much knowledge/experience as possible.

Is there a guarantee that the coaches listed will be there?

All of the coaches listed have agreed to participate, but we schedule our camps very far in advance. Schedules change. Coaches leave the school they are currently at. Health issues come up. If a coach line up needs to be adjusted, we will do our very best to replace a scheduled coach with one from a similarly competitive school.

Do the athletes need to play for a team to attend Youth Camp?

No, this camp is for participants of all levels. Players will be split up based on age and ability, to ensure a great experience for all of our youth campers.

Youth Camp- Can I request to be put in the same training group as my friend/sibling?

Yes. Please email ddowling@omavs.com and we will do our very best to accommodate any requests.

Do you have space for Goalkeepers?

ID Camp- Yes. We will only have a maximum number of goalkeepers at each camp. This can be a very good opportunity for Keepers.

Youth Camp- There is no specific GK training at our Mini Mavs youth camp. Youth camp involves more small sided games and activities to develop holistic base soccer skills.

Can an athlete attend more than one camp?

Yes. You can register for as many camps as you wish.

If we only attend some of the days, is there a discount?

The NCAA requires that no participants receive a special or discounted price. As such we do not offer any discounts or scholarships.

How do I register for the camp?

Simply visit the registration page listed with each event.

Do you offer group Discounts?

What is the Weather Delays/Cancellations, Camp Change of Structure, Date, Location & Postponement Policy?

In the event that inclement weather prohibits campers to train outside at any of our events, UNO Men's Soccer ID Camp will do its best under these circumstances, but campers safety is our first priority. If a training session is missed during an event, we will do our best to make up that session during the remainder of the event. UNO Men's Soccer ID Camp is unable to issue any type of credit or refund for inclement weather prior to or during an event, as many expenses have already been paid for to hold the event. In the case of a catastrophe, such as but not limited to a natural disaster, hurricane, flood, earthquake, crime or terrorism, sickness outbreak, pandemic, or war; and UNO Men's Soccer ID Camp is unable to hold the event, UNO Men's Soccer ID Camp will retain the right to alter the camp structure, postpone the event to a later date, or move the camp to a different location; decide the postponement date and location, and retain all registration fees paid for the camp. If a camp is fully cancelled and not moved to a different location or postponed to a later date, and it will not be held, families will receive a full refund.

Is there a Payment Plan?

To register and secure your spot in camp you must pay the full registration fee as space is limited.

Do you provide overnight accommodations?

No. This is a daytime event only. The scheduled times for the event are the only times we are available to supervise the athletes. You are welcome to make arrangements on your own if needed.

Will there be a trainer on site?

Yes, we will have a Certified Athletic Trainer on site to help out. If your player needs taping, they should bring tape with them. Emergencies will be directed to the local Fire/EMS department. If the athlete becomes ill/injured during camp, you will be contacted.

What should the participant bring with them to camp?

They will need a ball, shin guards, and water bottle. If the athlete needs medicine or an inhaler, they need to bring that as well.  They will also need to bring lunch; as we will not provide that.

Is it OK for the athletes to contact the participating coaches.

Yes. We encourage you to contact any schools you might be interested in attending. The coaches will receive a list of participants, along with their contact information, grad year, and athletic information for recruitment purposes.
